Although the number of new young winemakers is growing in their country and old methods are still in use, when it comes to qvevri itself, it is not very colorful. At the moment, serious producers can be counted on the fingers of both hands. In the past, many more people worked there and there were villages that were famous for this unique production (eg Tskhavati, Utslevi, Anaga).”
